Taken over by new ownership and a change of perspective in 2018, The Vern has blossomed from what was originally known as "The Tavern". The Tavern was started in 2015 as a small 'clubhouse' for close friends. It was then briefly named "BoozeBarns Tavern" when ownership changed hands to the Geller family in 2018. Finally in 2019, with plenty of push from the regulars, the name was changed to "The Vern", although they still seem to call it The Tavern.
THE SPACESaviour the surroundings of our rustic beer garden filled with plenty of eye-catching artwork and flora all done or provided by local artists and florists. As you step indoors you'll be taken aback by the spacious but cosy bar area.
THE EXPERIENCEWith us it's all about fun. With traditional bar games available like 8-ball, darts, cards and board games as well as modern ones like beer pong and kings to play, there's never a dull moment. THE FAMILYWalk in and feel part of the family as the oldest of friends and the strangest of strangers are greeted and treated while enjoying the common satisfaction of a cold drink, great food and a fun, indaba free time.
